Announced a few weeks back at Feardemic’s Fear Fest, Atari and SneakBox’s turn-based RPG roguelite Days of Doom is out today on PC and consoles. The mix of tactical RPG and survival simulation elements can be had on the PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series, and the Atari VCS.
Days of Doom sees you put together a squad of heroes to confront the relentless onslaught of zombies, ghouls, raiders, and other foes on the ultimate mission to reach sanctuary amidst the rubble. Each character class possesses unique abilities. For example, you can turn things up with the Pyro, setting foes ablaze for lingering damage, and finish up with a combination attack from a Hydromancer and Thrasher, drenching enemies with watery assaults before shocking them. You can also boost your squad’s abilities with over 70 items and runes to collect.
The roguelite progression in Days of Doom means no two runs will be the same, but you permanently upgrade stats like party size and speed of resource accumulation, which means each run will get you closer to reaching your goal. It’s all tied together with an orchestral soundtrack by Jelle Dittmar (Death by Flame, The Playboy Murders).
