Sadistic Intentions filmmaker Eric Pennycoff is back with his next genre offering, a Christmas-set horror film that dabbles in religion.
Set to World Premiere at this week’s Chattanooga Film Festival, The Leech reteams Pennycoff with Sadistic Intentions stars Jeremy Gardner and Taylor Zaudtke, alongside genre favorite Graham Skipper (Almost Human, Sequence Break, Dementia Part II, VFW, Bliss) and Rigo Garay.
Bloody Disgusting learned today that Arrow Films has acquired rights for UK, Ireland, U.S. and Canada, and will release this coming December.
In the film, a devout priest welcomes a struggling couple into his house at Christmas time. What begins as a simple act of kindness quickly becomes the ultimate test of faith once the sanctity of his home is jeopardized.
“The film is about how far one man is willing to go in order to save the lives of complete strangers, even if it means losing himself in the process,” Pennycoff said in a press statement. “Can a man of God truly turn the other cheek? Or do even the holiest of leaders have their breaking point?”
Producers are Eric Pennycoff, Adelyn Tomlinson, Scott Smith for Doomcroak Pictures.
