Right on time, Turtle Rock Studios has launched the new Back 4 Blood expansion “River of Blood” for PC and consoles, which is available now. Along with it, we get the expected launch trailer for the DLC.
The “River of Blood” expansion features a brand-new story campaign and a new Cleaner in Tala, a former cultist outcast who is accompanied by her friendly Ridden Tallboy companion known as Jeff. Players can use the whistle found in-game to summon Jeff as long as Tala is on the team. “River of Blood” also includes eight new character skins and 12 weapon skins, along with new weapons, accessories, and cards.
As is the usual for Back 4 Blood paid DLCs, the “River of Blood” expansion can be had as part of the Back 4 Blood Annual Pass, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition, Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition, or you can snag it as a standalone purchase.
And in addition to the paid DLC, fans also now have a free update in “Trial of the Worm”, which is also available now. “Trial of the Worm” is a cooperative PvE mode where players determine their path down a four-map chain while earning Supply Points along the way. Players can add Corruption Modifiers or choose the more vigorous paths to increase difficulty and boost the amount of Supply Points rewarded. Those looking for a challenge or a more customized difficulty can work towards completing “Trial of the Worm” with a high score to earn a top spot on the online leaderboard.
And in keeping with the time of the year, Back 4 Blood‘s holiday event is on now until January 4, 2023.
Back 4 Blood is available now for the Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
