After celebrating a huge sales milestone for the Little Nightmares series, it appears that Bandai Namco is moving forward with their plan to continue the franchise. While the news is not a definite Little Nightmares III, it certainly does lean towards that being a possibility.
Spotted by Twitter user @SmackNPie, Bandai Namco has posted a new internship position on LinkedIn for a Producer Assistant for the Little Nightmares IP. Details on the project are of course kept to a minimum, but this is another confirmation for fans of the series that Bandai Namco is looking to move forward with another entry, despite losing original developer Tarsier Studios to Embracer Group back in 2019.
Again, the listing doesn’t specifically state that the project is Little Nightmares III, as it could very well be another spin-off in the vein of Very Little Nightmares, which was released for iOS back in 2019.
Also, keep in mind that Bandai Namco is looking to expand the series beyond video games. After all, it’s been a while since we heard about Anthony and Joe Russo‘s project with A Nightmare Before Christmas director Henry Selick to create a Little Nightmares television series. And Bandai Namco have technically already crossed over with that four-part comic miniseries from Titan Comics back in 2017.
The latest entry in the series, Little Nightmares II, is available now on PC via Steam, the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series.
Big thanks to RelyOnHorror for spotting this.
