Originally announced back in 2021, “Batman: Caped Crusader” was a project that was set up at HBO Max, but The Wrap reports that the series has now been picked up by Amazon.
Amazon Studios has ordered two seasons of the series, a “reimagining of the Batman mythology” from J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, Bruce Timm, Sam Register and Ed Brubaker.
Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions and 6th & Idaho will produce.

Animation president Sam Register. “It is in that spirit that we are bringing together three master storytellers in J.J., Matt and Bruce – each with their own intuitive understanding and affection for the character – to create a new series that will continue in the same groundbreaking legacy.”
