The Nicolas Cage movie we cannot wait to see is Universal’s Renfield, which will see Cage *finally* sinking his teeth into the role of Dracula, the most iconic of all living blood-suckers.
Of course, that’s only one of many Cage movies on the horizon, including a Western titled The Old Way that’s just been acquired for U.S. release by Saban Films, Deadline reports.
Not to be confused with Butcher’s Crossing, another upcoming Cage Western!
From director Brett Donowho, The Old Way is expected in Late 2022.
“The Old Way centers on Colton Briggs (Cage), a former gunslinger who believed he had left his past behind. But when a gang of outlaws murder his wife, Briggs finds his world shattered and must once again take up arms in violence. But this time, he won’t be going alone. Briggs is now a father and must bring his young daughter along to hunt down the man who killed her mother by the name of McCallister; a man driven by his own demons and troubled past.”
Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Nick Searcy and Shiloh Fernandez also star.
Carl W. Lucas wrote the script for The Old Way.
