After wondering just when Skydance would release The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution on PC and PSVR2 for a good long while, the developers have finally announced a Spring release for the long-awaited update. Not only that, but seeing as Saints & Sinners is celebrating its third anniversary, Skydance has announced some goodies for existing PSVR owners of the game.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2 will now launch simultaneously on Steam and PSVR2 on March 21, with both versions getting plenty of improvements based on community feedback from the title’s Meta Quest 2 launch. Furthermore, cross-platform saving will be added between Meta, Steam and PSVR2. This also means that those of you who purchased the Meta Quest 2 version back in December can carry over your progress.
As for the game’s third anniversary, Skydance has announced several treats. For starters, players who already purchased the game on PSVR will be able to download the game for free on PSVR2 when it launches in March. Those who have yet to purchase either The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners or Chapter 2: Retribution will be able to do so in a bundle priced at $59.99 USD on Meta. This offer will be good until February 6.
That’s not all. Once Chapter 2: Retribution launches on PC and PSVR2, players will receive a new weapon “The Orphan”. This will also apply to Quest and Pico owners. Lastly, Skydance is also giving players a chance to play a demo of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners on the Meta Quest store. This free demo grants access to the first 30 minutes of play of the game and will be available until February 6th, as well.
