Wes Craven’s Scream 2 returns to the big screen for a special interactive screening at the Music Box Theatre on Thursday, July 25, and fans in Chicago won’t want to miss this one.
The screening will feature a “real time recreation of the movie’s opening scene”!
The Music Box Theatre previews, “If you love scary movies, chances are you’d love nothing more than to be in one. For one night only, step into the world of Scream 2 with an immersive experience that begins when you arrive at the theatre. With multiple cameras recording every step of the evening, we want you to be an extra in an interactive space that will build to a real time recreation of the movie’s opening scene with actors, volunteers, and special effects. Come in costume! Be a character! A special kind of enthusiasm is the only requirement.”
Co-presented by The Horror House, the show begins at 8pm on Thursday, July 25.
In Scream 2, “Sydney (Neve Campbell) and tabloid reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) survived the events of the first Scream, but their nightmare isn’t over. When two college students are murdered at a sneak preview of Stab, a movie based on the events from the first film, it’s clear a copycat killer is on the loose.
“Sydney and Gail, as well as Deputy Dewey (David Arquette) and Randy (Jamie Kennedy), have to find out who is behind this new murder spree, before they all end up dead.”
