Two weeks after announcing the cancellation of the PlayStation 4 version of Quantum Error, developer TeamKill Media has announced that the game has gone gold. While the team declined to give an updated release date for the cosmic horror shooter, they did say that the release date would be revealed alongside a new trailer “very soon“.
Alongside the announcement, the team also took a bit of time to answer a few other questions about the game. For one, the Xbox version of Quantum Error is “still being optimized and actively worked on”, while the Quantum Error will see a physical release on console as well as a digital version. As for a sort of Collector’s Edition, the team said that they will be “more than likely be doing one” at a later date.
Announced back in 2020, Quantum Error sees you assume the role of Captain Jacob Thomas, one of a group of firefighters assigned to save those trapped aboard the Monad Quantum Research Facility, which is currently on fire after being attacked by an unknown entity. However, what starts as a simple mission to save lives from the burning complex, soon descends into a nightmarish cosmic journey that will take you from reality to other worlds where you must fight for your life as well as others.
In addition to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, Quantum Error is also currently in development for PC.
