Justin LaLiberty, Director of Operations for OCN Distribution, said in a statement, “We at OCN are excited to start a relationship with Dark Star Pictures, who have built a track record over a short time period of having a sharp curatorial sense with contemporary genre cinema and a keen awareness of what audiences are looking for, including the audience we have built at OCN and with our sister company Vinegar Syndrome.
“Kicking off this new relationship with Maximiliano Contenti’s stylish, gory and darkly comic throwback slasher The Last Matinee couldn’t be more perfect and we are eager for our fans to see this film as well as other exciting titles that Dark Star have coming in the future.”
