AMC’s “The Walking Dead” may be over but a handful of spinoff projects are on the way real soon. Those include “Daryl Dixon,” a series centered entirely on Norman Reedus.
“Daryl Dixon” will chronicle the beloved zombie-slayer’s adventures in France, and Entertainment Weekly has shared some first-look images from the series this week.
Reedus tells EW, “It’s going to be way different. The story’s way different. There’s a different tone, there’s different light, there’s a different sound. It’s a whole different vibe.”
“It’s so epic in scale, and the tone is so good and different, and moody,” he adds.
Clémence Poésy (The Essex Serpent) and Adam Nagaitis (Chernobyl) have also come on board the spinoff series in leading roles, starring alongside Norman Reedus.
“Set after the series conclusion of TWD, the Reedus-led offshoot finds the zombie apocalypse fan favorite transported across the Atlantic to France and a whole new level of a world gone mad. Poesy will play the female lead Isabelle, a member of a progressive religious group, who joins forces with Daryl on a journey across France and finds herself confronting her dark past in Paris. Nagaitis protrays Quinn, a displaced Brit who has become powerful in post-apocalyptic Paris as a black marketeer and the owner of the Demimonde, a sexy underground nightclub.”
David Zabel will serve as showrunner for the Daryl Dixon series.
