The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival returns this weekend, running from October 13th to the 20th with screenings held at Nitehawk Cinema Williamsburg and Williamsburg Cinemas. Following last year’s return to theaters, BHFFs presents its most robust slate to date.
One such film is Dark Star’s latest acquisition, Daughter, which will celebrate its East Coast Premiere at the fest.
Directed by Corey Deshon, “Held against her will inside an isolated house deep in the woods, a young woman has no choice but to challenge the interpersonal dynamics and self-imposed rules of her captors, a three-person nuclear family that believes the air outside is toxic and that the apocalypse has arrived.”
Dark Star will release in 2023.
