Cinedigm, Bloody Disgusting, and SCREAMBOX are excited to announce they have picked up yet another horror title out of the American Film Market, Young Min Kim‘s dramatic horror Dawning, which celebrated a long festival run leading up to this fall’s market.
Yes, the Korean chiller is yet another horror film about trauma, but it’s incredibly compelling with some truly effective scares.
We’ll be bringing Dawning home to SCREAMBOX in 2023.
In Dawning…
“Haejin Park, a trauma therapist, is forced to face her family’s darkest past when she returns to her childhood countryside farm to console her heartbroken younger sister.”
Dawning stars Kim Ellis, Una Kim, and Veronica Kim, and played at Panic Fest, Asian American International Film Festival, Caamfest, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and the Heartland International Film Festival.
The deal was negotiated by Brandon Hill, Cinedigm’s Director of Acquisitions, and Michelle Lee of EST Studios on behalf of filmmakers.
The companies also acquired Vietnamese Horror Story, an awesome new horror anthology that broke box office records in Vietnam, out of the American Film Market.
Welcome home…
