After seeing a release on the PlayStation 4 last month (and the PC and Nintendo Switch before that), Serenity Forge and developer White Rabbit have announced that the upgraded Death’s Gambit: Afterlife will be coming to the Xbox One. Not only that, but the game will be receiving further DLC next month.
While nothing concrete, the Xbox One version of Afterlife is coming “this Spring”. It’s not known if existing owners will be enjoying a free upgrade as the PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch versions did, but it stand to reason that previous owners will enjoy the same deal.
Meanwhile, “Ashes of Vados” is the new DLC for Afterlife. It will launch for PC via Steam on February 10 for $7.99, followed by the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this Spring. The new DLC includes a new boss fight in “The Eldritch Hand”, a new area called the Halls of Cruelty to “test your reflexes and platforming skills”, a combat arena, Boss Rush mode, new game modes and new rewards.
Lastly, for you physical media junkies, the physical version of Afterlife is now available for the Switch. It includes a sticker sheet, double-sided poster that features a character compendium and the map, and illustrated inner coversheet.
In Death’s Gambit, you are an agent of Death. Bound to his service, you must unravel the mystery of Siradon and challenge the undying guardians of the realm to purge their souls. Along the way, you discover the “reward” for your service.
