Creed director and star Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are reuniting for a mysterious “feature film project,” which was later revealed to be a vampire movie. Per THR, actor Delroy Lindo has joined the supernatural thriller.
Warner Bros. has set a March 7, 2025, release date for the Untitled project. It will also play in Imax theaters.
Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) wrote the script and will be directing the film.
Plot details remain scarce, but the film is described as “set in the Jim Crow-era South, and possibly involves both vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Jordan may be playing dual roles — as twin brothers.”
That means that character details are also kept under wraps, though Delroy Lindo’s character is said to have a a musical element to it. Jack O’Connell will play the villain.
Producing alongside Coogler are Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.
Speaking of Michael B. Jordan and genre features, the actor attached himself to produce The Dwelling just last year, a short story-based horror movie from Amazon Studios. As for Delroy Lindo, the actor was cast in Marvel’s MCU Blade reboot two years ago, which is currently slated for late 2025 release. Considering the reboot has been plagued by obstacles and delays, time will tell whether 2025 will mark not one, but two vampire flicks for Lindo.
Production is gearing up to begin later this spring in New Orleans, which means we can expect to hear more about the Untitled supernatural thriller soon.
Stay tuned for updates on both of these projects as we learn more.
