Demo Available Now for Fan Game ‘Twin Peaks: Into the Night’ [Trailer]

Ever wanted a video game based off of Twin Peaks? Though you do have Twin Peaks VR on Steam, leave it to the fans to do something a little more. That’s exactly what French indie developer Blue Rose Team are doing with Twin Peaks: Into the Night, a throwback third-person game that has a demo available now via the team’s itch.io page.

Created as an homage to “good old 90s games classic”, like many throwback games these days, Twin Peaks: Into the Night sports throwback PSX graphics and a cinematic camera. You know the story by now: the game takes place on February 24th, 1989, and sees special agent Dale Cooper called out to the town of Twin Peaks, Washington to investigate after a dead body wrapped in plastic was found by the bank of a river. The body is identified as homecoming queen Laura Palmer. Soon after, mysterious event begin to occur in the town.

“This demo is intended to show you the direction we’re taking and we’ve put our hearts at it,” reads a statement by the team on Twitter. “We’re already working on next release, a little patience is required and it will come soon enough!”

The team stresses that neither David Lynch or Mark Forst are affiliated with the project, and that once completed, the game will be available for free.

Huge thanks to ComingSoon.net for the heads up.
