Things are still humming along with regards to Hashbane’s Instinction, which we last saw dropped a Tomb Raider-esque trailer last October. The devs are back again with another small update, this time showing off a brief clip of more gorgeous visuals using the power of Unreal Engine 5.
In addition, the team also announced that they’ve received “a substantial investment”, allowing the New Zealand-based Hashbane to hire more staff, including developers, artists, animators. The whole thing was actually detailed in a Twitter thread late last month, which also included the results of fan-based input regarding the dinosaurs that they’d like to see in the game.
Currently, the focus for Instinction right now is the vertical slice, as well as playtests. As for that release date, the team admits that the proposed Q3 2022 was “modest”, but with all of these new development, Hashbane says that they now have an opportunity to “make the game we truly want and need without shipping an unpolished product”. What that translates into is the team announcing a more “realistic” release date soon.
Instinction is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
