Diablo II fans will finally get their chance to play the upcoming Diablo II: Resurrected Open Beta, starting this weekend. Blizzard made the announcement today in an official blog post.
Those who pre-ordered Diablo II: Resurrected or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection on console or PC will be able to play the Early Access Open Beta on August 13, 10:00am PDT, until August 17, 10:00am PDT.
Meanwhile, for the rest of us, there’s the Public Open Beta weekend happening on August 20, 10:00am PDT, lasting until August 23, 10:00am PDT. During that time, you’ll be able to check out the Beta simply by downloading it on PC or console. On top of that, you’ll also be able to try the game out cross platform.
Included in this new Open Beta are two additional classes in the form of the Paladin and the Druid, alongside the Barbarian, Amazon, and Sorceress. In addition, the Open Beta will also include online multiplayer gameplay allowing up to eight friends to team up, or even duel each other in PvP combat.
The Open Beta will be limited to the first two Acts, however. To compensate, there will be no level cap, so all participants will be able to level up and experiment with a variety of builds for their characters as much as they want until the Open Beta ends.
Diablo II: Resurrected will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 23.
