‘Director’s Cut’ to Screen at Chicago and Brooklyn Horror Festivals

A riotous slasher throwback that pays tribute to horror cinema of the 80s and 90s, Don Capria‘s slasher Director’s Cut will soon premiere at two upcoming horror film festivals.

First up is the 2024 Chicago Horror Film Festival, which takes place this weekend from September 27th through the 29th at Chicago’s Logan Theater. The genre fest, which celebrates its 25th anniversary, will screen the film on the evening of Sunday the 29th as part of its “Feature Overload” programming block. It’s also being nominated for Best Feature.

Alongside hundreds of additional features and shorts, the Chicago festival will also host filmmaker Jennifer Reeder on Saturday night, who will screen her new Shudder Original Perpetrator. Tickets, film listings, and additional details can be found at www.chicagohorrorfilmfest.com

For those in the New York area, good news: Director’s Cut screens again on Friday, October 18th as part of the 17th annual Bushwick Film Festival at Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Cinemas. In addition to the screening, the cast and filmmakers will be attending the festival’s Opening Night Pink Carpet Reception on October 16th. Tickets can be purchased here.
