While it’s unclear if this iconic character will appear in Disney’s feature-length live-action adaptation, he will dig up some ghosts in Disney+’s Muppets Haunted Mansion, a spooky treat that’s headed our way on the road to Halloween.
Darren Criss (“Glee”) reveals on socials that he will be playing the titular character in “The Muppets’ ” first-ever Halloween special, which takes place on Halloween night when Gonzo is challenged to spend one night in The Haunted Mansion.
The special will feature the Muppets cast, celebrity cameos and new music and spooky amusement for families to enjoy later this fall.
Announced earlier this year, a new live-action feature film adaptation of the popular Haunted Mansion attraction is also in the works, with Justin Simien (Bad Hair) in talks to direct.
