The great thing about Nicolas Cage is that a new Nicolas Cage movie is never, ever far away. Up next from Cage is the A24 dark comedy Dream Scenario, which just got a release date.
From director Kristoffer Borgli (Sick of Myself), A24’s Dream Scenario will release in theaters on November 10, 2023. The news was first reported by Deadline today.
Of particular note, the film was produced by Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar).
In Dream Scenario…
“A hapless family man Paul Matthews (Cage) finds his life turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams. But when his nighttime appearances take a nightmarish turn, Paul is forced to navigate his newfound stardom.”

The promise of a “nightmarish turn” in this one suggests it’ll be one that horror fans will want to check out. Kristoffer Borgli proved with previous movie Sick of Myself that he’s more than comfortable blending genres into uniquely singular cocktails, as the 2022 film was something of a drama-comedy-body horror hybrid. If you haven’t seen it, seek it out ASAP.
Julianne Nicholson, Dylan Baker, Kate Berlant, Michael Cera, Dylan Gelula and Tim Meadows also star in Dream Scenario.
The film is produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen of Square Peg, and Jacob Jaffke, Tyler Campellone and A24.
