Dying Light 2 kicks off its holiday celebrations next week with the return of its Winter Tales event, bringing a festive makeover to Villedor, as well as winter-themed rewards and cosmetics. Things start rolling on December 19th, where players will be able to stroll through the city adorned with seasonal trimmings, looking out for Santa Airdrops, and fighting off the Infected for sweets that you can exchange for rewards.
Those rewards include the Winter Elf gear and outfit, the Gingerbread Infected Charm, the Dead of Winter Bow Blueprint, and several seasonal-themed masks available at Baka’s Winter Market store by the Bazaar. The latter of which you can claim by exchanging sweets you earn by offing Naughty Infected, which are appropriately dressed for the occasion.
The new goodies don’t stop there, as there are more festive items coming to Dying Light 2 in the form of the Grim Santa Bundle. The bundle features the Grim Santa Outfit, Paraglider, and the North Polearm weapon. Svailable as a blueprint, the outfit is also available at the in-game store for 500 DL Points. To sweeten things, Techland is also giving out the Hakon Bundle for free as part of the Winter Tales Event.
The Winter Tales Update will also contain another portion of promised changes to Dying Light 2, such as new enemy variants, new weapons, more finishers, and the long-awaited PlayStation 5 cross-gen save.
Dying Light 2 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
