Even after releasing Dying Light on the Epic Games Store last week, Techland has decided to give their open-world zombie epic one more treat in the form of a new-gen update for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The performance patch is available now for the PS5, with the Xbox Series version coming in a few days.
The update allows players on the PS5 and Xbox Series to select between different graphical modes for Dying Light. Performance mode allows the game to run at a locked 60fps at 1080p, Balanced mode targets 60fps at 1440p, and High-Resolution mode offers up 30fps at 4K resolution. The patch will also give a boost to the PlayStation 4 Pro with an improved 30fps cap.

The sequel to Dying Light, Dying Light 2 (read our take here), is available now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. Dying Light 2 will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
