After going in guns blazing last September on Steam, Strange Scaffold is set to unleash their Max Payne-inspired shooter El Paso, Elsewhere onto PlayStation 5 this September. Retailing for $29.99, pre-orders are open now at all major retailers for the September 6 physical release of El Paso, Elsewhere, which will include an exclusive poster (while supplies last) and a digital copy of the hip-hop soundtrack.
From the creative mind of Strange Scaffold studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr., El Paso, Elsewhere tells a compelling story of complicated love, addiction and self-worth. “El Paso, Elsewhere will be Strange Scaffold’s first-ever PlayStation release, and I couldn’t ask for a better introduction to our studio’s sustainable production principles, unapologetic style, and player-first attitude,” says Nelson Jr. “To our wonderful partners at Nighthawk Interactive and the PlayStation gamers who will soon embark on our most ambitious journey yet, I can only say the same thing that James Savage soulfully speaks directly to the player in the closing moments of the game: thanks for believing.”
In addition, a film adaptation of El Paso, Elsewhere is also in the works with LaKeith Stanfield (Haunted Mansion) starring and producing the film, alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
And just in case you missed it, check out Aaron’s review of the Steam version.
