In the wake of A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors, The Blob, and The Mask, Chuck Russell directed the 1996 action movie Eraser, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the title character. As we learned last year, a reboot titled Eraser: Reborn was shot in secret over the summer, with Dominic Sherwood (“Penny Dreadful: City of Angels”) starring.
Last we heard, WB is looking to release the new movie in Spring 2022, and now that the film has received a rating from the MPA, it looks like that’s likely still the plan at this time. The film is listed as a Warner Bros. Home Entertainment release, so expect it to come straight home.
Just like the original movie, Eraser: Reborn has been rated “R” for…
“Violence throughout and language.”
From Warner Bros., “The film follows US Marshall Mason Pollard who specializes in engineering the fake deaths of witnesses that need to leave no trace of their existence.”
Jacky Lai (V-Wars), McKinley Belcher III (Ozark) and Eddie Ramos (Animal Kingdom) also star.
