Based on Bethesda’s video game franchise, a “Fallout” TV series is in the works over at Amazon, and Deadline reports that Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight) will star in the series.
The “Fallout” TV series comes from Amazon Studios, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films, and Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
Jonathan Nolan will direct the show’s premiere episode. Showrunners for the series will be Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner.
Deadline reports, “The world of Fallout is one where the future envisioned by Americans in the late 1940s explodes upon itself through a nuclear war in 2077. The magic of the Fallout world is the harshness of the wasteland set against the previous generation’s utopian idea of a better world through nuclear energy.”
According to the site, Goggins is playing a ghoul, one of the “mutated humans who experienced prolonged radiation exposure amid the Great War.”
Almost 20 years ago now, Walton Goggins starred in House of 1000 Corpses, and he was also seen in Predators, Django Unchained, “Justified,” and “The Righteous Gemstones.”
