While the new Scream movie legs its way to $100 million at the box office, one fan has taken it upon himself to remake the original 1996 Scream poster with the 2022 movie’s new cast.
Neto Ribeiro Design just tweeted out the retro-style poster art, which channels the classic poster for Wes Craven’s Scream and puts a 90s-style “floating heads” twist on the new movie.
Rather than highlighting the legacy characters, Neto Riberio’s artwork is completely faithful to the 1996 poster we all know and love, spotlighting Woodsboro’s fresh faces.
Check it out below and catch Scream in theaters now!
In the new movie, “Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.”
Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, and Marley Shelton.
“It always goes back to the original.”
