It’s been an eternity since we last heard about Deathverse: Let It Die when it was first announced last year. Publisher GungHo Online Entertainment and developer Supertrick Games are still working away on it, and have released the first of several dev diaries to keep fans in the loop.
The first episode sees Uncle Death, the skateboarding enthusiast mascot from the original Let It Die, sit down with Deathverse‘s director Shin Hideyuki. The duo discuss the mindset behind creating Supertrick Games, and why they decided to develop the game. For those not in the know, Supertrick Games was created by members of Grasshopper Manufacture (which made the original Let It Die) to continue supporting the game while starting the development of Deathverse: Let It Die.
The idea behind these dev diaries is to have new episodes in the coming weeks, with Uncle Death and Director Shin revealing more details about the game, including topics such as the soundtrack, customization options, development process and more.
Deathverse: Let It Die is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as a free-to-play title, with a Spring 2022 release date.
