Softstar Entertainment’s The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication got its first trailer back in July, and now the game is set for a release later this year. Announced for release in 2024 by publisher Game Source Entertainment (thanks, Gematsu), The Extrication will be coming to PC via Steam, as well as the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
Described as a standalone sequel to The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation, The Extrication is a reimagined adaptation of Lester Hsi‘s The Bridge Curse 2: Ritual. The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication takes place at Wen Hua University, where a group of students are trying to attract new members to their film club. To do so, they’ve decided to hold a Carnival of Horror in the campus’ Da Ren building. The building just so happens to be rife with rumors of ghost sightings. The students plan on re-enacting a bizarre case that happened on campus decades ago, and turn it into a horror movie.
At the same time, a reporter hoping to resolve a missing persons case from years ago arrives on the university campus after receiving a mysterious letter. The reporter and the students soon find themselves trapped in the building, hunted by the ghosts.
