Columbia Pictures is ready to do battle with Universal Pictures as they’ve just doubled down on their October 15th release date for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the sequel to their mega-smash hit that will literally go head-to-head with Halloween Kills the very same weekend.
The studio shares brand new poster art that not only highlights the release date, but also celebrates Shriek – Carnage’s love interest – for the very first time.
While it’s still unclear if we’ll see all the symbiotes from the “Maximum Carnage” comic book arc come to life, this poster gives Naomie Harris her own spot on the poster, teasing a potential battle with “She-Venom” (who had a cameo in the first film), played by Michelle Williams.
Andy Serkis directs this time around with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock/Venom, “an abrasive journalist who comes in contact with an extraterrestrial organism that melds to his body to create the toothy super-powered beast called Venom.”
Will Universal flinch and shift Halloween Kills from the date?
