If you’ve been waiting for some of that juicy gameplay footage from EA’s upcoming Dead Space remake, you won’t have to wait long. The official Twitter for the Motive-developed remake dropped news earlier that we’ll be getting out first taste of gameplay footage tomorrow at 8am PT!
The teaser date was cryptically revealed thanks to earlier posts by the Dead Space Twitter account, which had posted four images that when assembled, turned out to be a QR code. Scanning the code led you to EA’s Dead Space website that had the October 4th date reveal clip (thanks, RelyOnHorror!).
To tide you over for the day, you can also hit up the first “Inside Dead Space” blog entry, where Motive discusses what they believe is key to the remake, and their approach to bringing back such a beloved and iconic game. The Dead Space remake will release on January 27, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
Of course, Motive’s gameplay footage will have to measure up to Striking Distance Studio’s recent gameplay footage from its Dead Space spiritual successor in The Callisto Protocol, which is gearing up for its December 2nd release date on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Regardless of which side you’re on, it looks to be that everyone’s going to win.
Trailer tomorrow. Tune in at 8am PT for the first official look at #DeadSpace gameplay.
