It’s been a long time since we last heard anything about 2P Games and developer Nekcom Entertainment’s DYING: 1983, but the game made an appearance last week at Gamescom with a brand new trailer. There’s still that vague 2021 release date, but we do get some gameplay footage in the latest trailer, courtesy of IGN.
In DYING: 1983, you explore a world that is separate from our own reality. You’ll be gathering items to solve puzzles while also discovering the hidden truth “behind the scenes.” Fans of the original game can look forward to the return of Fishhead, a mysterious creature that will be showing up in a more “unexpected form” this time around.
A sequel to 2018’s DYING: Reborn, DYING: 1983 is currently in development for an initial PlayStation 5 release, followed by a future release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
