With the television series wrapping up this past December, fans of the Amazon series “The Expanse” were given a send-off treat during the opening night broadcast of Gamescom 2022. Publisher Telltale Games and developer Deck Nine Games had previously announced The Expanse: A Telltale Series last December during The Game Awards, and have now announced the game will launch for consoles and PC in Summer 2023.
Along with the announcement was the first look at The Expanse: A Telltale Series in action with a new behind-the-scenes gameplay trailer. Featuring input from developer Deck Nine’s Stephan Frost, Telltale Games’ Zak Garriss and the show’s Cara Gee, the trio briefly discuss the game’s characters, and the direction the teams took with The Expanse: A Telltale Series.
Per Gematsu, players take on the role of Camina Drummer (played by actress Cara Gee in both the game and TV series), the leader of a scavenging crew on the hunt for a mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt. As Drummer, players must work with a mix of powerful personalities, square off against a bloody mutiny, explore locations beyond The Belt and, as with many Telltale games, make tough decisions that will decide the outcome of the game’s story.
More information about the game can be found at the official site.
