We touched on Kyle’s Garage’s psychological horror title Obsideo back in July. The game hit Early Access on Steam last August, and has been continually updated ever since. The more recent updates involve bug fixes, but also a few new additions.
If you’re unfamiliar with Obsideo, the game takes the ghost-hunting concept of Phasmophobia, but has you and up to three friends (as priests) doing a little exorcism to go along with it. You focus more on contextual clues, what the ghost looks like, and how it interacts with the environment, as opposed to finding specific item clues and basing everything off of that. You also have to work to exorcise the ghost, which isn’t easy.
The latest update overhauls the complete experience, from the UI to objectives to the AI ghosts themselves. On top of that, if you’re not worn out from the holidays yet, Obsideo has introduced a treat in the form of Krampus as one of the ghosts for you to find and expel. Yes, Krampus typically isn’t a ghost, per se, but what difference does it make when you’ve got the crap scared out of you?
