It’s a new month, and IllFonic is marking it with the release of the third free DLC for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. Not only that, but the game is also receiving a permanent price drop of $19.99 USD.
As for DLC 3, alongside the usual fixes and Quality of Life updates to Spirits Unleashed, it also adds a new map, a new Ghost type in the Watcher, and new cosmetics that reference the 2016 Ghostbusters film.
The New Motion Club map is described as “a pillar of the New York underground music scene”. After a change in ownership, the venue was expanded to include a two-thousand square foot street level dance hall with the original basement stage reimagined as a comedy club. What new ownership didn’t account for though, was a recent spike in paranormal activity.
As for the new Watcher Ghost, it bears a close resemblance to the Bug-Eye Ghost toy from years gone by (and from its brief appearance in Ghostbusters: Afterlife). And much like the toy, the Watcher is able to launch eyeball towards intended scare targets, and then either recoiling it back to its socket, or pulling its torso to the eye itself, phasing through anything that stands between them.
Currently, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store. Also, keep an eye out for the Nintendo Switch Ecto Edition of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.
