Production is now underway on Godzilla vs Kong 2, the next installment in Legendary’s MonsterVerse that will once again be directed by Adam Wingard (Godzilla vs. Kong).
The untitled sequel arrives in theaters on March 15, 2024, and we’ve learned this afternoon that several members of the first movie’s cast will be returning for this one.
Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle will be joined by newcomers Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns and Rachel House.
The new movie “follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own.
“The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

Godzilla vs. Kong was the fourth film in the MonsterVerse, which kicked off with Godzilla in 2014 and continued with Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019.
