Gothic Metroidvania ‘The Last Faith’ Arrives This October for PC, Consoles [Trailer]

Publisher Playstack and developer Kumi Souls Games have announced that their pixel-based gothic Metroidvania The Last Faith will be joining the crowed October schedule this year via a new trailer. In addition, the game will be having a limited beta test later this summer, which you can sign up for via the game’s official website.

Taking a cue from Blasphemous (which sees its sequel coming this August) and its mix of Metroidvania and Soulslike gameplay, The Last Faith is described as brutal but always empowering. You play as Eryk, a man who awakens with no recollection of his immediate past. Eryk soon discovers that he’s in a race against time as his mind and conscience begins to deteriorate. His desire for salvation from this affliction sets him on a cursed mission that crosses paths with ancient religions and divinities.

Also like Blasphemous, The Last Faith will have players dodging enemy attacks and observing openings for the proper time to strike. You’ll have at your disposal a formidable arsenal of melee weapons, arcane spells, and long-range firearms to allow you to carve a path in the game your own way.

The Last Faith is currently in development for release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
