This latest version of Michael Myers has taken a whole lot of damage throughout the course of Halloween and Halloween Kills, from getting his fingers blown off to being set on fire to being shot, stabbed, and beaten with a baseball bat. He’s got the scars to prove it, with the most significant damage to date being the burns sustained at the end of Halloween 2018.
Michael’s mask is melted throughout Halloween Kills as a result of Laurie’s failed trap, and though his mask comes off in the new movie, we never do get a clear look at his face.
Thankfully, that’s where behind-the-scenes photos come in to save the day.
A series of images from the set of Halloween Kills that were shared over on Instagram by Zach Myers show off Michael’s burnt face underneath the melted mask, giving us a good clear look at actor James Jude Courtney with the burn makeup applied by Chris Nelson.
Perhaps we’ll see more of unmasked Michael in Halloween Ends next year…
