We’d like to wish a happy birthday to longtime horror critic and horror host Joe Bob Briggs, whose hugely popular Shudder series “The Last Drive-In“ is merely the latest stop in a decades-spanning career here on the horror scene. “The Last Drive-In” celebrates genre trash and genre gems in equal measure, Joe Bob providing wit and commentary like only he can.
For the last few years now, “The Last Drive-In” has been bringing horror fans together for Friday night double features that dominate all of our Twitter feeds with lively conversations, and fans of “The Last Drive-In” will be happy to hear that Joe Bob and Darcy will be back for a Valentine’s-themed special next month. It’s titled Joe Bob’s Heartbreak Trailer Park!
The special premieres Friday, February 11, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Joe Bob Briggs will be joined by FOUR special guests for a double feature of two unique films that explore the heartbreaking and horrifying side of Valentine’s Day.
“Two movies about deranged passion” are on tap, Joe Bob teases.
Born on this day (January 27) in 1953, Joe Bob Briggs has hosted various genre-themed shows including “Joe Bob’s Drive-In Theater” as well as “MonsterVision” back in the 1990s.
Enjoy some inspirational words of wisdom from the birthday boy below.
