Strap in, “Harley Quinn” season four is coming, and it’s coming sooner than you may think. The Max Original Animation panel hosted at San Diego Comic-Con included exclusive first look trailer at the new season which sees our unpredictable villainess attempt to explore heroism.
“Harley Quinn” season four debuts with three episodes Thursday, July 27 on Max, followed by a new episode weekly through September 14.
The new trailer below promises season four has it all: more sex, more drama, and more Bane being Bane. It won’t be your average joyride.
This biting and uproarious adult animated comedy follows Harley Quinn (voiced by executive producer Kaley Cuoco) as she strikes out on her own following her breakup with The Joker (Alan Tudyk). With help from Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs, Harley attempts to work her way into the Legion of Doom, before an identity crisis sends her on a larger quest to find her true place in Gotham City. With appearances by DC’s most notorious characters and featuring a notable voice cast – including Christopher Meloni, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Tony Hale, and others – Harley Quinn showcases the titular antiheroine’s killer journey from girlfriend to leading lady.
At the end of season three, Harley left villainy behind and joined the Bat Family, while girlfriend Ivy became leader of the new Legion of Doom. The recent Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special ensured these lovebirds won’t be splitting any time soon, but we can definitely expect that working for opposite teams will wreak havoc on their love life.
Sarah Peters, who has written on the series since season one and currently serves as consulting producer, takes over the role of showrunner from Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.
Executive Producers include Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Kaley Cuoco, Sam Register, Sarah Peters.
