Seeing as it’s The Last of Us Day, it would only be fitting that HBO drops the trailer for their upcoming television adaptation of the hit video game. And after giving fans a taste last month, not to mention the prepping and teasing on social media today and over the weekend by series developer Craig Mazin and executive producer Neil Druckmann, we finally have the trailer!
Based on the critically-acclaimed video game, the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed.
Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.
