The Super Bowl may be all about the actual game for most, but for others it’s all about the star-studded commercials and the movie trailer premieres. The “big game” always brings out the big names, and this year we’re getting a commercial directed by – and starring! – Martin Scorsese. And because these things always come online early now, well, it’s already online.
Martin Scorsese directed the 90-second short film “Hello Down There” for website building/hosting company Squarespace this year, and you can watch the extended cut below!
“Hello Down There” is “a tale of intergalactic outreach” from Scorsese, a ripped-from-the-headlines look at a modern alien invasion that everyone’s too distracted to pay attention to.
“What does a highly advanced civilization have to do to get noticed around here?” the commercial asks. Watch the full extended version of the Super Bowl ad below to find out…
And keep your eyes peeled for The Taking of Deborah Logan star Jill Larson!
