9FingerGames and publisher Ravenage Games continue to listen to community feedback for their bullet hell shooter Heretic’s Fork with its biggest Quality of Life update yet in the newly-released “The Savior’s Descent” update. The free update not only adds save slots and mid-run saves, but also optimizes and tweaks the game’s Endless Mode.
Per the press release, despite Heretic’s Fork not being an Early Access title, the constant support from the player community “has allowed the development team to consistently enhance the game, introducing new depth and entertaining content.” With The Savior’s Descent, players now have the additions of Torment Modifiers and the Continue Shift option for Endless Mode, as well as the aforementioned save capabilities, full controller support for Heretic’s Fork, and new music by DeusVult Inc (which you can check out on Spotify).
And for those who haven’t taken the plunge, thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, you can grab Heretic’s Fork with a generous 50% discount from now until July 11.
Heretic’s Fork is a tower defense game with deckbuilding mechanics. Players are tasked with navigating through the bureaucracy of Hell as the newly appointed Hell’s Manager. That involves punishing sinners using the state-of-the-art computer system, the eponymous Heretic’s Fork, by building defense towers to hold back the swarms. You’ll be able to draw upon your deck of cards in order to effect changes to gameplay that will help you in your task.
