Released onto Steam earlier this year, Night Signal Entertainment’s Home Safety Hotline is heading to consoles next week, courtesy of the folks at Puppet Combo. The point & click call center horror game will arrive on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch on September 20. Coincidentally, that’s also the same release date as Home Safety Hotline‘s upcoming DLC, Seasonal Worker, which will be included with the console release.
Just in case you missed it the first time (and you missed Aaron’s review), Home Safety Hotline comes from the same devs behind Night Signal, and tasks you with assisting callers about their questions about what pests are inside their home. Using the totally-not-Windows 98 interface (and accompanied by David Johnsen‘s lo-fi score), you field incoming callers’ questions about what “pests” they’re experiencing inside their home. Using the catalog of common pests and household hazards, your must do your best to become an expert in home safety.
Of course, you could always just hang up and leave them to their problems. But regardless of your actions (or inaction), you will be held responsible for what happens.
Meanwhile, Seasonal Worker is the new story-based DLC set during the holiday season. This new 4-day storyline puts you in the shoes of Rebecca, a seasonal employee who returns every year to help with the hotline’s busiest and deadliest season. The DLC features the expected Christmas cheer, alongside horrifying new entries and bizarre new characters.
