Homelander Arrives in ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ on June 4, New Gameplay Trailer Released [Video]

NetherRealm and WB Games have given Homelander the spotlight with a new gameplay trailer ahead of the character’s arrival in Mortal Kombat 1. Homelander will join the roster on June 4 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners, followed by wide availability on June 11.

Just in case you’re not up on The Boys (which will get a fifth season on Prime Video), Homelander is the most powerful being on the planet and the leader of The Seven, the elite superhero team owned and managed by Vought International. In a world where “Supes” are made, he’s the strongest of them all. Homelander presents himself as the ultimate patriot and protector, but in reality, he’s a murderous, narcissistic sociopath with an insatiable need for validation, love, and power. Homelander’s destruction of enemies and lust for power does not end with his world. Challengers from other realms will also face his wrath.

Along with Homelander, the new trailer also provides a first look at gameplay for Ferra, a new DLC Kameo Fighter who will be available as part of the Kombat Pack and for standalone purchase in June 2024.

Meanwhile, Season 4 of The Boys will premiere on June 13 on Prime Video.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
