As was announced back in July, Bethesda and id Software are bringing Horde Mode to DOOM Eternal (at the cost of the planned Invasion Mode, which would’ve seen players invade other players’ games, a la Dark Souls). The new mode will be included in the upcoming 6.66 update for the first-person shooter, along with BATTLEMODE 2.0, and two new master levels.
The Horde Mode is the focus of the new teaser released by Bethesda, which will have its full details revealed once the update goes live next week. As for the new Battlemode, it will include “a more competitive, rank-based structure, a number of gameplay and balance updates, and another new map.”
DOOM Eternal is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
