After launching for the Nintendo Switch earlier this year, followed by PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam releases, one would wonder when MegaPixel Studio’s House of the Dead: Remake would see a current-gen release. Wonder no more, as the game will be heading to the Xbox Series later this week!
MegaPixel Studio and publisher Forever Entertainment will be bringing the remake of the classic Sega arcade shooter to the Xbox Series on September 23. And for those wondering, the Xbox Series version of House of the Dead: Remake will be a free update for those who own the Xbox One version (thanks, PureXbox).
No details yet on just what enhancements the Xbox Series version of House of the Dead: Remake will include. Nor is there word yet on if the PlayStation 5 will be getting its own version of the game.
Featuring a host of gameplay tweaks to bring it up to modern gaming standards while staying true to the 1997 original, the House of the Dead: Remake features the following:
- Well known arcade classic with modern graphics and controls.
- True to the original gameplay.
- Local two-player multiplayer.
- Multiple endings.
- Photo mode.
- Achievements.
- Armory with unlockable weapons.
- Hordes of the undead monstrosities in a new game mode.
- Gallery with encountered enemies and bosses.
Once more, get back in time to the good old days.
