A handful of Paramount horror properties are making the leap into the world of comic books with IDW Publishing’s new venture IDW Dark, announced at New York Comic Con.
For starters, the company teased upcoming comics based on Paramount franchises including Smile, A Quiet Place, Event Horizon, Sleepy Hollow, and The Twilight Zone!
Additionally, 30 Days of Night is getting a brand new comic sequel with 30 Days of Night: Falling Sun. 30 Days of Night was of course originally a comic book that became a movie.
This brand new horror-focused IDW Dark imprint “will also launch new original horror titles, bringing captivating horror stories from celebrated and fresh writers and artists.”
“Horror is everywhere today, in the world and on the shelves,” IDW’s Maggie Howell said in a statement out of New York Comic Con. “So, what sets IDW Dark apart? Horror is in our blood.
“This imprint is our way of doubling down on the work the company has been doing throughout our 25-year history as a premier publisher of horror comics.”
