Teravision Games is turning to the big guns in IllFonic for help with their upcoming asymmetrical shooter Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. IllFonic will take over publishing duties for the game after making an amicable deal with original publisher Good Shepherd. Alongside Teravision Games, IllFonic will also be co-developing Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game.
IllFonic is obviously no stranger to developing games based on horror properties, having worked on Friday the 13th: The Game with Gun Interactive, as well as Predator: Hunting Grounds and last year’s Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, which they also published.
“When we first started talking to Good Shepherd Entertainment and Teravision Games about this possibility we were very excited about the IP,” explained Charles Brungardt, CEO and Co-Founder of IllFonic. “Then we got to know the team at Teravision and knew we were going to make this happen. Everyone at Good Shepherd has made the handoff process of this project enjoyable, as there is a lot of behind the scenes business in order to make something like this possible.”
The press release did not make mention of the release date for Killer Klowns, which is still slated to arrive for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year.
Meanwhile, IllFonic and Teravision will be at Gamescom this week to give attendees their first chance to play Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game with the teams.
