After arriving on PlayStation this past August, Nintendo Switch owners will finally be able to get their hands on Daniel Mullins Games’ Inscryption next month. Publisher Devolver Digital took to Twitter with the announcement, saying that the game will arrive on the Nintendo eShop on December 1.
Originally released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store back in 2021 to critical acclaim, Inscryption is described as an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie. You’re stuck in a cabin, playing cards against a stranger known only as Leshy. In between play sessions of the card game, during which you’ll be building up your deck through insidious means, you’ll also be roaming around the cabin, gradually solving a series of puzzles that grant you powers at the card table.
Unlike the PlayStation version, the Switch version of Inscryption doesn’t appear to have any console-specific enhancements. That of course might change as we creep closer to the December release.
And yes, we loved the game when it first released last year. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we put it as our Game of The Year.
